tada!!! see, i just share the stage with Didik Nini Thowok.
You mean you still dunno who he is??? ok, let me tell you who he is...
Didik Nini Thowok whose real name is Didik Hadiprayitno, was born in Temanggung on November, 13th 1954. He is now a successful high profile Indonesian choreographer and dancer.
He’s come along the way to enrich himself by working and teaching in order to become a multi talented and professional artist, particularly in dancing.
Lots of awards have been granted to Didik Nini Thowok throughout his works and his unique style in combining classical, folk, modern and comedic dance.
Some of his original choreographies are very well known in Indonesia. Aside from performing his own original choreographies, he also has the incredible skill in performing various dance traditions such as Topeng (mask), Sundanese, Cirebon, Balinese, and of course Central Javanese.
Didik Nini Thowok’s fame propelled him throughout Indonesia for his unique style; combining classical, folk, modern and comedic dance form. He is one of the few artist who continues the long tradition of “ Traditional Cross Gender “ in the dance form. His talent in impersonating female characters as well as his incredible skill in various dance traditions such as topeng (mask dance), Sundanese, Cirebon, Balinese, and of course Central Javanese; has on many occasions dumfounded the audience in determining the gender of the artist. Didik Nini Thowok has performed for the highest dignitaries throughout the world. Didik Nini Thowok Dance Studio teaches many styles of dances, including Central Javanese, Sundanese, Cirebon Mask Dance, Balinese and Original Choreography.
The name Didik Nini Thowok is identically well known with humorous dances movement pattern. Apparently, in Didik Nini Thowok’s concept and idea, dances have become a vehicle to entertain and to cheer up the heart and soul of the public.On the stage, he transforms into a coquettish and cheerful dancer, but lots of people accused him commercial in return. That’s the result of his struggle over 20 years to find his own dance characteristics creation. It is said that to dance not as the way people dance generally.His dance creations shown in public always reflect the cheerful spirit and are being presented in some fresh styles and formats. Most of them were inspired by the traditional dances that came from various sub ethnics that lie within the Indonesian archipelago.
And i just had a huge performance in the NUS University Cultural Centre with him, a few guest musicians from Solo, Indonesia, Tedja Timur ensemble and Asmaradana gamelan ensemble and SInga Nglaras, my gamelan ensemble. (Pity of you didnt come!) it was such a blast!!
This mark another milestone in my performing career. not that i have a big one, but hey, i got to start somewhere...

YES YES YES YES YES!!
I have finally quit smoking! for good i hope!
If you recall, i had such a bad experience with flu and tonsillitis and i just hate falling sick!!!!! I was such in pain and i was really bed ridden for 2 whole days. the only time i got up is to bath and pee... i didnt even had the mood or appetite to eat. it was that bad...
anyways, i have made my mind to just stop smoking for good. cause, i just want to be healthy, and its just a waste of money and i just hate having tonsillitis. plus, as a budding vocalist, i need my voice to be in top form all the time...
so..... the first step to really quit smoking was to throw away all my ciggarettes, of course, and not to buy them anymore,
and secondly, i have to throw away things that will remind me of smoking at home... so.... i will have to throw away my favourite ashtray.
Meet Cherrie. She is my ashtray who has an enormous boobs that will support my cigarettes if i need her too. its actually a birthday present from my 2 of my close friends.
I KNOW! BOOOOOOMZ right? leopard prints lei!!
See hoe beautiful she is... well, yes, if you notice the cracks and dent on the ashtray, its because it has been with me since forever!!
And so, with a heavy heart, i have to dump Cherrie before i change my mind about smoking. oklah, actually, my mind is already made up. its the nostalgia i am throwing away! it has been woth me through everything you know...
so, say goodbye to Cherrie, and say hi to a healthier me...
by the way, today is my 19th day of being smoke-free.. it is damn hard to stay smoke-free, especially if your close buddies are all smoker, but i shall persevere.
And i do need your support! i want to do this...
I need some TLC!!!!

ok, i am so sick as i am typing this out. I am suffering from tonsillitis. and its no joke. the pain builds preassure to my head, so i am constantly having a headache, and then, i cant eat a single thing cause my throat is just too painful and my body is in aching...
urgh!!
but please, stay tuned. i got a lot of post to show you..... and one of them being this!!
