ahh, its monday. i am not at work, just finish a class. anyways, i was on medical leave on thursday and friday. yes, i was so sick i decided to go to the doctor and apperently, i had a very bad case of throat infection. the doctor said why i came to the doctor so late? like, i have a choice. hahaha, anyways, my throat is recovering well, i am just coughing and my nose is still block (blocked nose is apprently good for pop singing?)
anyways, i had a busy busy weekend. its the la serva padrona production weekend. i was their official graphic designer and back stage bitch, as usual. i did the advertising materials, the programme notes and the subtitles. everything is done on italian mind you... ohh la la.. ma ma mia!
so i had a blast. there were nice bubbles after the opening on saturday, so i was happy. a little bit too happy.
i will be going to Solo, Indonesia with my gamelan group, Singa Nglaras. we are having a study educational tour. so i am going to have another blast of fun. i might not update for 10 days but who knows, if i can find an internet cafe somewhere, i might show you my pictures.
there is alot of noise around me today... kids.. so noisy. shout shout shout, scream scream scream. not that i hate kids, (ok maybe a bit), but i am feeling like crap right now. real crap. i have a huge migraine on my left side of my head, my shoulder hurts like hell, i am coughing non-stop, i am sneezing non-stop and my nose is like a leaking tap. what worse could go on after this.
i really feel so weak i feel like fainting. and i cannot eat anything because even if i try to eat porridge, it feels like i am eating sand.
hmmmppff, just as i am about to get well from my last sickness (also all the same symptoms), oh, and the doctor thought i am bluffing, he didnt even give me an anti-biotics. and now, i am down again.
ok, i am rambling. i am feeling horrible now. and i am still in school. got class later. sigh.
the evening of the southeast asian music and dance
first of all, i am feeling like crap right now. i feel so sick. sick again, i know.
anyways, the concert. was a huge success. it was full house, as usual. actually, its overflowing house. there were not enough seats. people have to sort to standing while watching or sitting on the steps and watch. it was a huge huge success. and also tremendously stressing for me. this time round, i play mostly on the "bonang", the metal pots. the instruments is kind of like the main melody leader of the whole ensemble, and if i screwed up (in this case, a few times), it really obvious that i screwed up. oh well, actually, there were no major screwed up, just a few minor ones. my favourite peice is still "sekar taji",. its a dance piece where the resident javanese dancer dance a masked dance "wayang topeng". the dance is about a princess named sekar taji and she is lost, while finding her prince. the whole song is very haunting. and the dance... mysterious. i like it soooo much. oh, ibu kamsiah made her presence this time again by singing with us. she is kind of the guest resident pensidhen. her voice.. power, despite her old age.
anyways, this time round, i didnt played much thai music because there were 3 guest musicians from thailand. and if i were to play a song beside them, its so embarressing because i play like crap. and i knew so little. this year round, i have little time for music because of work committments, i still havent learnt much. i am so dissapointed at myself.

the chinese new year came and went like a breeze. can barely feel it, and it went off too fast. anyways, i had such fun. went to the usual gang for visiting. and i ate like a lot. really alot. now i have to shed the weight off. so complicated lah.
anyways, i bought myself a flaming hot tamale red shirt from topshop. feeling festive. and oh, i learn how to play mah-jong. its tough. all chinese charater (must memorise), then got certain sequence and movement and i need to be very sharp and see each other player's move. anyways, i did learn something during the chinese new year. hehehe..
and, the post below, is the invite for this year southeast asian night. i am performing. yes, and i better see some of you there. i know its clashing with the chingay and stuffs but u can always catch the chingay on teevee, but this concert, is once a year ok. must come.

first of all, i am feeling like crap right now. i feel so sick. sick again, i know.
