artyfakt (
http://www.art-y-fakt.de/) has its re-opening celebrations on saturday after its haitus for almost a year. and this time, they moved into a new shophouse in Petain Road, Little India.
and celebration was in full swing since 5.00pm. with their show blocks starting at 5.30pm with Dr Thomas's students singing operas arias, musicals number and traditional indonesian pop songs. and the celebration was sponsored by Brewerkz, with their free flow of Golden Ale.
anyways, show and tell. this is a highly photo-ed entry.

and the brewerkz banner outside the entrance, a very red carpet event feeling.. LOL. even though it was raining very heavily that evening, the cold weather did not dampened the guest's mood! beer makes everyone a happy person!
and the performance starts, with vocal singing....
bass, Daniel Ho, singing a dramatic opera aria by Verdi from Don Carlos.
and musical student, Hui Xuan, doing an Evita number..
and NAFA theatre student, Nadiah, singing an original piece by a NAFA composition student, Ernest Thio, a sundanese indonesian inspired song about a princess.
and NAFA 3rd year theatre student, Kunjung, singing a west Javanese song from her hometown.
........... and after the first show block, the guest were treated to brewerks beer and snacks..
the Dr. Mrazeks', a father and son duel team of enthomusicologist, one in Java, one in Sumatra.
............... and about an hour later, the 2nd show block starts. this time featuring artyfakt's dancer-in-residence, Nunuk Sri Rahayu, who will be teaching in artyfakt's javanese dance course. she gave a soulful and majestic javanese masked dance in full costume, "Gunungsari", which depicts a prince who misses her princess.

........ and at 2am in the morning, the hardcore party people was hungry and decided to buy murtabak back and have our supper....
2am, and eating murtabak. imagine the calories...
....... and the whole party pretty much ended at 5am... and the most random photo of the day..........
and that me, doing an Evita on the balcony.... LOL!!and thats it for THAT night....
